Professor Chris Murphy teaches CIS 350 (Software Design & Engineering) and was featured by the Daily Pennsylvanian for incorporating discussions of diversity and wellness into his courses. Professor Murphy received a Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence in March 2019. At this event, Professor Murphy will speak about his initiatives to raise awareness about mental health and diversity in CIS. -- Afternoon Teas with Philo provide an opportunity for anyone to interact with a distinguished visitor in an informal setting. Located in Philo's Harrison Presidential Library, 4th Floor College Hall, teas generally consist of a short talk followed by a Q&A session. Treats and teas (of course!) will be served. All are welcome. Philo is a student group for those who like ideas. We host and arrange events, teas, discussions, debates, exhibitions, and more!
